The Bedlington Terrier is a good companion dog that should be socialized into the family very early. It is good with children and other pets once properly trained and socialized. It will not get along with another dominant dog. The Bedlington is fast and needs plenty of exercise, and can do well as an apartment dog if it gets enough exercise and attention. They shed very little but do require professional grooming on a regular basis. May be good for allergy suffers.
