The Bluetick Coonhound is a passioniate hunter who is extremely alert and attentive. It is very good working in all types of weather and conditions. It gets along well with older children, and if socialized correctly will respond well to younger children. It may be aggressive with other dogs and should be watched closely around non-canine pets. They need a strong walk or run on a daily basis, and are probably not good for apartments, even when exercised. Can be droolers.
