Ibizan Hound

Moon and Zephyr and Zephyr as a pup from the Bramblewood Ibizan Hounds Kennel
The Ibizan Hound is a wonderful family pet that craves to be a functional part of the family. Early training and socialization will help the Ibizan bond with the family and probably accept other non-canine pets (remember its born to hunt small animals). The Ibizan is not “keep outside” dog, and if you don’t plan to allow it in the home don’t get one. Left alone outside they can become destructive. Ibizan’s require plenty of exercise. If you let it run outside make sure you have a high fence as this dog’s jumping abilities could probably win a slam-dunk contest. And, once out, they run free with little regard of their surroundings. You won’t be able to catch it, and it probably will not respond to commands. Its three types of coats (smooth, long, and wire-haired) are easy to maintain.
